Recuérdame Honeymoon Hat dia de los muertos remember me

Regular price $69.00
Our Remember Me collection is a tribute to the Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) holiday. This holiday is a Mexican tradition honoring the dead between Oct. 31-Nov 2 (All Saints and All Souls Day in the Catholic Church). Families create ofrendas (altars) honoring their loved ones full of their favorite possessions, flowers, and foods like pan de muerto for when their souls return to earth during this special time. Our collection was inspired by the artwork of José Guadalupe Posada and his etching of La Catrina. La Catrina has become a symbol of the holiday, an elegant skull with a fancy, elaborate hat. The meaning was that even the rich cannot escape death- in the end, we are all equal. Enjoy our collection and we hope it helps you celebrate the holiday with family and friends. We do offer custom hats, so send us a message or email if you want something special!

This hat features a Spanish phrase “recuérdame” or “remember me”. It is a hot pink straw hat adorned with hot pink pompoms all the way around the brim. The writing is done in black sequins and the brim is adorned with various silk flowers. The hat can be made with or without skeleton hands at the back, just select that option at checkout. You can also choose an orange or hot pink color hat with the matching color pompoms. Hat circumference is about 22.4” and the brim is about 5”.

All hats are custom made to order within 3-5 business days of order placement and have a shipping timeframe of 1-3 business days depending which method you select at checkout. If you need an order rushed, please contact us before ordering to see if it is possible.
